Meet Erin
My cello journey began at the age of nine, when I first picked up the instrument at school. What started as a childhood interest soon became an important part of my life, leading me to private tuition and the London College of Music examinations.
From 2014, I studied with Julide Canca Eke at Canca Music Studio in Istanbul, where I developed my playing through both individual and group tuition. I completed my final London College of Music examination in 2015 and regularly performed as a soloist, in duets and as part of cello ensembles, including concerts at venues such as Zorlu Performing Arts Center.
In 2018, I returned to Canca Music Studio as a teaching assistant, giving lessons to both younger and adult students, including those picking up the cello for the very first time. This was where I discovered how much I enjoyed teaching and helping others develop their confidence with the instrument.
I now offer private cello lessons in London for children and adults, from complete beginners onwards. My lessons are personalised to each student’s level, pace and goals, with a focus on building strong foundations while keeping learning enjoyable and encouraging.
